***OUTDOOR APP*** (depends on GPS signal)
***METRIC ONLY*** (meters, not miles; does not support customary/imperial units)
***FIRST-USE OF APP REQUIRES NETWORK CONNECTION FOR LICENSE CHECK***
Audible Waypoints provides a hands-free and network-independent navigation experience. Specially designed algorithms provide relevant status updates and auto-advance once you reach the next waypoint. Here are some ways you can use Audible Waypoints:
Geocaching: Open your favorite geocaching application, such as c:geo, and find a geocache that interests you. Start navigating to that geocache by launching Audible Waypoints as an external map. If your app doesn't allow navigation from external apps, note the geocoordinates of that cache and manually enter them as new location in Audilble Waypoints.
Cycling: Import your next group ride's GPX (a route file standard) into Audible Waypoints. Add approach notes to specific waypoints. Launch the route in Audible Waypoints, turn on audio, turn off your device's screen, plugin earphones and run them to a single ear. You'll get audio updates for distance to the next waypoint, and your approach notes will be read to you as you approach your next waypoint. You'll even get updated when you reach a new maximum speed. Ride safely and enjoy!
Hiking: Import your next hike's GPX into Audible Waypoints, leave the screen on, and let its intuitive navigation arcs guide you.
Parking: After coming to a complete stop and parking your car, enter "Stored Location Mode" where with one tap, you store your current coordinates as a new location with a time-stamp as its title. You can rename your newly created location if you wish, or simply leave it as is, and navigate back to your car when ready.
Audible Waypoints closely follows International System of Units (SI) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards, therefore:
distances are measure in meters and kilometers,
ISO 8601: time-stamps are generated as , and
ISO 6709: geocoordinates are in "degree decimal" format (latitude as ±DD.DDDDDD, and longitude as ±DDD.DDDDDD).
